Trusts must count apprentices ‘as supernumerary’ (USA)

Being Nursing Assistant I often here that happens something like:

"Apprentice nurses should not be counted as part of staffing numbers and must be supernumerary throughout their training just as student nurses are, the chief executive of the Nursing and Midwifery Council has said."

I wonder if these can impact my job as Nursing Assistant. Can't find obvious relation. But... You never know!
